A development of 58 homes have come to market in Rugely in Staffordshire from housebuilder Lovell.

Some 29 are for open market sale and 29 allocated as affordable housing. This first release of properties, based on Church Street, includes a range of 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom homes that will be ready to move in time for Christmas.

Lisa Preston, regional sales director at Lovell in the West Midlands, said: “The interest in Farrier’s Fold has been overwhelming since we started work on site and it’s easy to see why; the area offers everything you could need on your doorstep and the small development lends itself to a lovely community feel.

“The houses are designed with family living in mind and with nine house types on offer, there really is something for everyone.

“We’ve already been inundated with demand from upsizers, downsizers and those wanting to move from out of area into the bustling market town of Rugeley.”

Within a 15-minute walk of the development are two large supermarkets, independent cafes, bars and hairdressers, and a choice of well-rated primary and secondary schools.

The properties have air source heat pumps, photovoltaic solar panels and battery storage technology.

They start from £255,000 and will be brought to market via Chase Owl Estates, adjacent to the Farrier’s Fold site.

Preston added: “The price of energy continues to be a challenge for homeowners and by including thoughtful features, we can not only support wider sustainability goals but reduce bills for our buyers. This will keep their homes warm when they need it most.”
